Terms and conditions

i) By enrolling your child/ward with Blackbourne School of Dance you agree to the following conditions of acceptance:

ii) All fees are payable in advance and are due within 28 days of the start of term. Invoices not settled by this date will be subject to a 10% late fee, and if payment is not received by the end of term then the child's place may be withdrawn.

iii) Half a term's notice is required to withdraw a pupil from the school, or fees are payable in lieu.

iv) In order to facilitate learning it is sometimes necessary to use physical contact. This hands-on approach is to aid the understanding of correct body placement. Please speak to the Principal if you are unhappy with this policy.

v) The Principal retains the right to discharge from the school any pupil who persistently disrupts tuition, uses offensive language, or displays other anti-social behaviour.

vi) Pupils are under the care of Blackbourne School of Dance only when in the dance studio and the lesson is taking place. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to supervise children immediately before/after lessons and if they leave the studio to use the toilet.

Additional Covid-19 terms and conditions

vii)  In the event that a class cannot run in person due to government restrictions, then classes will be delivered online via Zoom and no refund offered.

viii) In the event that the teacher is unable to run a class due to illness or needing to care for an unwell family member, a cover teacher will be sought in the first instance. If no teacher is available the class will be cancelled and an additional class will be added to the end of term to make up for it. If this is not possible a refund will be applied to the next term's invoice.

ix) The School is not able to offer refunds to students who miss a class due to illness or self-isolation.
