We offer a free trial class to all prospective students, contact the Principal to arrange one now.
Children can wear anything they feel comfortable in for the trial class as long it allows freedom of movement and does not pose a hazard to the other students. Bare feet are advised as socks or tights can be slippery on the wooden floors.
In the event of a class being full, we operate a waiting list and children will be offered a place as soon as one becomes available.
If you are looking for a level or age we do not currently offer, please contact us to register your interest and we may be able to add it to the timetable.
You will be given an enrolment form after your trial class. If you wish to complete one in advance it is available to download and print here:
Terms and conditions
By enrolling your child/ward with Blackbourne School of Dance you agree to the following conditions of acceptance:
All fees are payable in advance and are due within 28 days of the start of term. Invoices not settled by this date will be subject to a 10% late fee, and if payment is not received by the end of term then the child's place may be withdrawn.
Half a term's notice is required to withdraw a pupil from the school, or fees are payable in lieu.
In order to facilitate learning it is sometimes necessary to use physical contact. This hands-on approach is to aid the understanding of correct body placement. Please speak to the Principal if you are unhappy with this policy.
The Principal retains the right to discharge from the school any pupil who persistently disrupts tuition, uses offensive language, or displays other anti-social behaviour.
Pupils are under the care of Blackbourne School of Dance only when in the dance studio and the lesson is taking place. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to supervise children immediately before/after lessons and if they leave the studio to use the toilet.
